This quarter saw some key tenders, auction completion, projects commissioned, some key partnerships and central and state level policy measures to strengthen India’s green hydrogen landscape.
- Tenders: In Q2 2025, 2 significant tenders were released by tendering authorities in India, namely NTPC Renewable Energy and Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA).
- Auction Completed: In Q2 2025, IOCL awarded 10 KTPA Green Hydrogen Production Project to L&T Energy Green Tech, at a tariff of INR 397/kg for its Panipat Refinery.
- Projects Commissioned: Adani New Industries commissioned India’s first off-grid green hydrogen production facility in Gujarat with 5 MW capacity.
- Policy and Regulations: In this quarter, one central-level and 2 state level policies were issued by various authorities, namely MNRE, PSERC and AERC.
